Eli’s Commitment to Service

Eli has made service his life’s work.  Before law school, he was a police officer in Georgia for twelve years, where he enjoyed helping people every day.   While a police officer, Eli was a certified field training officer and instructor, teaching police recruits at several police academies in Georgia.  As an Attorney, Eli volunteers as a police academy instructor using his law enforcement experience and law degree to teach future Georgia police officers.

During his twelve years in law enforcement, Eli investigated all types of crimes, from traffic crashes to serious felonies, and served on a SWAT Team.  Eli uses his experience in law enforcement, including criminal and traffic crash investigations, to help his clients in all aspects of their cases.

Educational Background

Eli attended Georgia State University in downtown Atlanta for his undergraduate and law degrees.  Graduating with his bachelor’s degree in 2007, Eli went back to school ten years later and earned his law degree with honors, graduating Magna Cum Laude and with Pro-Bono/Public Service Distinction.

Eli is licensed to practice law in Georgia and admitted to all Georgia State and Superior courts, the Court of Appeals of Georgia, the Supreme Court of Georgia, and the U.S. District Court- Northern District of Georgia.

Eli Outside The Office

Outside of the firm, Eli has served in the U.S. Army for more than a decade.  Currently, Eli serves as a Captain and Intelligence Officer in the U.S. Army Reserves.  Eli has completed multiple active-duty tours, including a combat deployment to Iraq, where he served as the senior U.S. intelligence officer for a large base in Iraq.

Eli has also completed a tour with the U.S. Army’s Cyber Command, and a state activation here in Georgia in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, where Eli coordinated the deployment of Soldiers to nursing homes, hospitals, and other health care facilities.  Eli finds serving in uniform very fulfilling and finds the same fulfillment helping people as an attorney.
